This beach resort also offers a steam room, a fitness center, and a garden. A computer station is on site and WiFi is free in public spaces. You can enjoy a drink at one of the bars, which include 3 bars/lounges, a beach bar, and a poolside bar. There are 3 restaurants on site, along with a coffee shop/café. Pamper yourself with a treatment at the full-service spa and enjoy amenities at Avila Beach Hotel like an outdoor pool and a spa tub. Spend the day at the beach and work on your tan with sun loungers (chaise longues) or relax in the shade with umbrellas. Simply walk outside to feel the sun on your face at the white sand beach. Posted by khowell65, from Charlotte, NC on Aug 27, 2013 Other than that, I have no complaints and definitely plan to return!!! I really think Avila should invest in a separate pool area for the kids since this pool is too small for playing children and adults. Most of whom were not supervised by their parents, who remained at the beach area, therefore, adults could not relax or swim because of flying toys, screaming kids, floats and water games. Jazz night at Blues is a must!! If I had to say one negative thing about the hotel, it would be that the hotel only has only one pool area, which is very beautiful, but was overtaken by children. I ate at all the restaurants on site, and enjoyed them all. A 25-minute walk (not 10 minute as Island people will tell you) will take you directly to the center of the city and the famous swinging bridge and waterfront cafes.Īs for the hotel itself, the staff is unbelievable.a huge kuddos to all!!! I stayed in the Octagon section and the room was spacious and very clean. You are only a "very" short walk to a variety of them.Fishalicious, Rozendael's, Seasons, etc. The area is also PERFECT for some of the BEST restaurants on the Island. The location of the hotel definitely has some revitalization in progress within the surrounding streets, but it is certainly not anything that should deter someone from choosing this hotel. As a solo traveler, I was initially concerned by some of the reviews I read regarding the area, however, once I arrived, I had NO worries. I stayed at Avila Hotel August 15-23, 2013 and could not have been more pleased.
